Gill and George are pleased to welcome you to their home and offer a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the attention to detail that will make your stay with us a pleasant and memorable one. Just 6 miles from the A1 motorway, in a secluded off road location, The Old Barn is an individual and historic building of charm and character and has many interesting architectural features. Set in 20 acres of pasture land, nestling amongst the trees and with panoramic views across the river Swale to Easby Abbey and the surrounding hills. Riverside walks and the Coast to Coast long distance path are on our doorstep. In addition we have the benefit of being within walking distance of Richmond's local amenities, including the swimming baths, cinema, pubs and restaurants as well as many famous attractions.
Accommodation Details:
Abbey View is a well appointed ground floor bedroom with private parking, own front door and patio area where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful view of Easby Abbey and surrounding countryside.
Tastefully decorated double en-suite bedroom with bath and shower. Comfortable bed, flatscreen digital tv, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, shaving point,and hospitality tray with beverage making facility.
Walkers may be interested to know that we have a purpose built Maytag drying cabinet for drying wet clothes and boots and we can also provide packed lunches on request.
We offer a good hearty breakfast of your choice cooked to order and served in our farmhouse style dining kitchen that boasts a feature stained glass window and has exposed oak beams of character. There is a choice of fresh fruit salad and continental style breakfast for those of you that enjoy a lighter breakfast. All our sausages, eggs and bacon are sourced locally and are very tasty!
Guests are welcome to meet Senitta and Scarlet our two danish knabstrupper horses and Buttons the pygmy goat.
