The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, walking, caving, pony trekking and bird watching. The Coast-to-Coast walk passes within 1 mile.

A small family run camping and caravan site situated amidst the fells of upper Wensleydale in the village of Hardraw. Hardraw is situated towards the western end of Wensleydale within easy travelling distance of all of the northern dales of the National Park. In particular, Swaledale, renowned for its outstanding beauty, can be reached in about 20 minutes via the Buttertubs Pass.
